  • Focus: Students should gain a basic understanding of what the primary causes of visual impairment and disability are late in life. Further, by donning impairment glasses, students will get an insight into what it is like to live with compromised vision. Students will also learn activities they may undertake to assist a person with vision problems.

Introduction

Lesson 4, "Living with Visual Impairments" is designed to sensitize students to the problems that may occur with sight in the setting of different eye diseases and conditions. Teachers may either make their own impairment glasses with the students or order them from the source given in the lesson.
